1. The mileage deduction is 44.5 cents per mile.
2. Extensions filed on or before April 16, 2007 will give 6 months to file your return, through October 15,
2007.
3. IRA deduction is now generally $4,000 per person,
and $5,000 for filers over age 50.
4. Student interest deduction is $2,500.
5. Tuition and fees deduction is generally $4,000,
subject to income limitations.
6. Tax rates have increased 1% from tax year 2005.
7. Average meal allowance per day is now $39.
8. Nevada, Texas, Florida and Tennessee residents
will once again be able to deduct a standard sales tax
deduction on their 2006 Federal Return.
